THE EVENT
The Hamble Winter Series is an exciting yacht racing series that happens at the end of the year in the Solent.
The Hamble Winter Series lasts for several weekends, and each one is like a mini-adventure. Sailors compete to win prizes and trophies, and the competition is intense. The boats are pushed to the limit, and every race is a chance for sharp improvement and learning.
THE PLAN
Start Day | Deacons Marina | River Hamble
Saturday 18th | Meet at 0900 in the marina and spend the day practising drills on the water and ashore
Sunday 19th | First race at 1000 | Back on the berth by 1500 to head home
Sunday 3rd | Meet on the dock at 0845 |First race at 1000 | Back on the berth by 1500 to head home

We will arrange lift shares or collections from train stations amongst the crew

Previous experience required:
Previous offshore sailing experience required unless this is your first offshore race in the Fastnet Campaign
Experience of spinnakers/gennakers is handy

They will run either 2 short 1-2 hour races or 1 longer race each Sunday.
Time on the water approximately 4-5 hours
