BEGINNER COURSES
Perfect if you’ve sailed a little bit or not at all. This 5-day course is designed to build you into a useful crew member
Once you’ve got the basics of sailing and seamanship down, this course will teach you in detail how to navigate the shores, tides, weather, rules of the road and much more!
BESPOKE COURSE
We offer bespoke courses for whole group booking if you have specific needs for gaining confident on the water - partner a keen sailor and want to be able to keep up? Love the fresh air and want to spend time on the water? - Get in touch and we can discuss options
IMPROVER COURSES
Feeling like you’re ready to take on the challenge of skippering, or you’re already qualified but feeling rusty and nervous about the thought of chartering
This is the first step for the aspiring sailor, once you’ve got the basics of sailing, seamanship and navigation down, your ready to take this 5 day course.
DAY SKIPPER PLUS COURSE
It is very common for Day Skippers who haven’t been on the water for a while to want a quick refresh before chartering a boat with family/friends. This is for you!
BESPOKE COURSE

INTERMEDIATE COURSES
You’ve been on the water a few times as Skipper and fancy challenging yourself for the next level
Taking your navigational and theoretical understanding to the next level. This course builds and expands upon all that you’ve learned so far.
The RYA Coastal Skipper course builds your skills and pushes you out of your comfort zone with more focus on longer passage-making and night sailing.
ADVANCED COURSES
Leaving the RYA training courses behind and now looking towards the world-renowned MCA (Maritime and Coastguard Agency) Yachtmaster Qualifications
Contact us to discuss passing your Yachtmaster examination. We usually run a 3 and 5 day Yachtmaster Prep course followed by the exam 2 or 3 times a year
YACHTMASTER COASTAL/OFFSHORE PREPARATION
RACING & RACE TRAINING
If you’ve made it this far then at LSS we believe there is no better training to improve your skills than getting into racing. Learn how to finesse your sail trim and really get the most out of your boat!
