JOG | 2024 RACE SERIES

The mixed programme will include a series of longer offshore races which are OSR Cat 3 requirement, and also the shorter inshore race series which is OSR Cat 4,.
These JOG races will start early in the day and should finish by the end of the day - no longer than 24 hrs per race. They are a great way to take your racing to the next stage if you are perhaps planning to do more offshore racing in the future, or just really get to grips with some positions on the boat while having a good social at each finish destination.

Previous experience required:
Previous offshore sailing experience required unless this is your first offshore race in the Fastnet Campaign
Experience of spinnakers/gennakers is handy

The race time depends on the weather forecast heavily but in our experience, with the early morning start, usually just over 24 hours to the Eddystone lighthouse if the wind is a usual Westerly, and faster on the way back downwind.
